1 Peter 2:24
\n24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.<\/em><\/p>\n

Say this out loud: \u201cBy His stripes, I am healed\u201d<\/p>\n

John 14:9
\n9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?<\/em>
\n There are 31 individual healings and 20 mass healings of Jesus in the gospels.<\/em>
\n 23 case studies of different healings that were studied for this message. The goal was to find: What did they have in common?<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There were times where Jesus initiated the healings<\/strong>
\nJohn 5:2-8
\n2Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.<\/em>
\n 3In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.<\/em>
\n 4For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.<\/em>
\n 5And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.<\/em>
\n 6When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?<\/em>
\n 7The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.<\/em>
\n 8Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.<\/em><\/p>\n

There were times where people initiated the healing<\/strong>
\nMathew 8:1-3
\n1When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.<\/em>
\n 2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped [notice the role of worship, a powerful way to press into God! -editor] him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.<\/em>
\n 3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sometimes the healing was given through touch<\/strong>
\nLuke 14:1-4
\n1And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.<\/em>
\n 2And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.<\/em>
\n 3And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?<\/em>
\n 4And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;<\/em>
\nSometimes the sickness was beat with the power of words<\/strong>
\nLuke 4:38-39<\/em>
\n 38And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.<\/em>
\n 39And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Sometimes people were healed with a combination of touch and spoken words<\/strong>
\nLuke 13:11-13
\n11And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.<\/em>
\n 12And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.<\/em>
\n 13And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.<\/em>
\nOf the 23 healings only six were initiated by Jesus. 17 were initiated by the individuals in need of healing. Go after your healing!<\/p>\n

STEPS TO RECEIVE YOUR HEALING<\/strong>
\n1: If I’m going to receive healing I must make a decision to go after it aggressively and not relent until I see it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of the 23 miracles, Jesus, ministered healing the following ways:
\nIn 10 he spoke the word only.
\nIn 5 he touched them and his touch ministered healing.
\nIn 8 He touched and spoke<\/p>\n

2: Find someone who believes BIG in healing and ask them to lay hands on you<\/strong>
\nMark 6:5
\n5And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.<\/em>
\n It appears the laying on of hands will work when nothing else will<\/em>.<\/p>\n

James 5:14-15<\/p>\n

14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

3: Continue to hold fast the confession of your faith by boldly speaking first Peter 2:24 over your life.<\/strong>
\nIn 18 of the 23 miracles of Jesus the word was spoken<\/p>\n

Mathew 4:10 (NIV)
\n10Jesus said to him, \u201cAway from me, Satan! For it is written: \u2018Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
